Crusaders keep climbing NCAA stats; ramain NCCAA #1

TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville remains #1 among NCCAA teams for the sixth consecutive week by Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette. The Crusaders are also high in th latest statistics released by the NCAA.

For the second consecutive week, the Crusaders boast the third best offense among 143 NCAA Division II teams, averaging 468 yards per game. North Greenville's rushing attack is remains 7th (237.3 ypg), while the Crusaders move up to 3rd in scoring offense (38.4 ppg). North Greenville's rushing defense is 19th in the nation, allowing only 84.6 yards per game.

Andre Bernardi leads a group of five Crusaders ranked in the top 35 in various individual categories. Bernardi is tied for #1 in the nation in tackles for a loss with 2.3 per game. He is also ranked 11th in pass sacks with 1.1 per game.

Quarterback Eric Moeller, running backs Rashad Cummings and Matt Moore, and wide receiver Travis Talbert are all ranked in two categories each. Moeller moves up to 17th in passing efficiency (151.9 rating) and is 35th in total offense (217.5 ypg). Cummings improves to 26th in rushing (96.8 ypg) and 11th in scoring (9.0 ppg). His counterpart in the backfield, Moore, is 33rd in rushing (90.4 ypg) and 26th in all-purpose yards (133.3 ypg). Talbert is 27th in receiving yards per game (79.3) and 13th in punt return yardage (13.8 ypr).
