Crusaders remain #1 in NCCAA poll; Bernardi in top 5 in latest NCAA stats

TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville University remains ranked #1 among NCCAA schools according to Don Hansen's Weekly Football Gazette. Malone, Mid-America Nazarene, Geneva, and Taylor round out the top 5.

The Crusaders boast the 12th ranked offense (421.4 total yards per game) among Division II schools according to the latest statistics released by the NCAA. The Crusader rushing attack comes in a 22nd with 202.8 yards per game, while the NGU defense is holding opponents to 92 ypg, good enough for 35th in the nation.

Defensive end Andre Bernardi is ranked 5th in sacks per game (1.5) and 7th in tackles for a loss (2.2). Wide receiver Travis Talbert ranks 30th in both receptions per game (5.6) and receiving yards per game (82.8). Running back Matt Moore's 139.2 all-purpose yards per game is 28th best in the nation. Quarterback Eric Moeller ranks 34th in passing efficiency with a 141.3 rating.
