THE SERIES

Charleston Southern leads the all-time series 4-1. The Buccaneers defeated the Crusaders 55-37 in the first meeting between the two schools in 1998. After being shut out by scores of 38-0 and 9-0 in 2001 & 2002, the Crusaders won 49-21 in 2003. Charleston Southern defeated North Greenville 55-7 last season.

2005

North Greenville enters this week's game 0-4. Last week the Crusaders lost 30-20 at Pikeville College. Charleston Southern enters the game 1-2. The Buccaneers opened the season with a 28-14 loss at The Citadel. After a 42-0 loss vs. Presbyterian, CSU defeated Jacksonville 16-10 last week.

COMMON OPPONENTS

The Crusaders and Buccaneers only common opponent this season is Jacksonville University. CSU defeated Jacksonville last week 16-10. The Crusaders will travel to Jacksonville October 27 for a Thursday night showdown.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

NGC- LB Isaac Tate has been a tackling machine this year racking up 40 total tackles including 27 solo tackles. DE Ken Floyd is second in tackling with 27.5 total tackles. Chad Castor had two interceptions last week against Pikeville. RB Travis Mosley is the leading rusher averaging 79 yards per game and 4 TDs. WR Travis Talbert has 15 catches for 329 yards and touchdown on the season. QB Eric Moeller is averaging 189 yards passing per game. WR James Crooks had 3 catches for 58 yards last week.

CSU- QB Collin Drafts has thrown for 594 yards and three TDs in three games. WR Markis Murry leads the Buccaneers with 10 catches for 127 yards on the season. Drafts was named the Big South Offensive Player of the Week and Murry was named Big South Freshman of the Week. LB Josh Mitchell has 29 total tackles including 10 solo. LB Jada Ross has 26 total tackles including 15 solos.
