TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville University wrapped up spring football drills with an intersquad scrimmage last Saturday. A crowd of 350 came out to see how the Crusaders have progressed in the offseason.
The spectators were not disappointed as they saw the offense and defense both play well. Head coach Mike Taylor was especially pleased with the quarterback play of Eric Moeller. Moeller through the ball accurately, and the receiving corps held on to the ball well.
Going in to spring drills, Taylor was focused on building a consistent defense. "We had fifteen practices, and I was pleased with our defense in fourteen of those fifteen," remarked Taylor. "That's pretty good."
In the scrimmage, the Crusaders were led by newcomer Andre Bernardi. Bernardi had one quarterback sack and several tackles for a loss. Taylor also noted that Rafael Bush played very well.
The Crusader offense scored four times out of the ninety plays run.
