Burlington, N.C. - Your Crusaders would win another game in the Conference Carolinas Tournament against the 3 seeded Pfeiffer University 2-1 in a game that was postponed until Sunday due to rain.

The game between the Falcons and the Crusaders would begin on Saturday, but would be postponed in the bottom of the fourth due to rain. It would begin as a pitchers duel with the first two innings being hitless for both sides. It was in the bottom of the third inning that the Falcons would break through for the first run of the ball game taking a 1-0 lead. The top of the fourth would be played before the tarp would be called onto the field for rain.

The game would resume on Sunday as the playing conditions would be better. The offensive side for both teams would remain silent until the top of the eighth inning when North Greenville would have an offensive charge. The inning would be led off with Drew Lipscomb getting on by a hit by pitch. Shaq Rolle would follow up with a bunt, which caused an error by Pfeiffer that put runners on second and third with no outs.

With one out in the inning Andrew Locklear took advantage of the earlier error with a 2 RBI single up the middle to take the 2-1 lead. This score would remain intact through the rest of the game as the Crusaders would beat the Falcons 2-1.

NGU will face a rematch with Pfeiffer University at 12pm needing one win to earn the program's first Conference Carolinas championship.
