Drew Lipscomb would come around to score on a while pitch to give NGU a three run cushion.

The Crusaders added insurance in the seventh inning on Wheeler Smith's sacrifice fly to extend the advantage to 8-4. Two runs in the top of the ninth would come across for the Tornado but Adam Boghosian cut the comeback short with two consecutive outs to extend NGU's stay in the winners bracket.
