NGU OFFENSE COMES THROUGH LATE IN WIN OVER BREVARD AT FLUOR FIELD

Greenville, S.C.—Jae Roberts was 3-4 with two RBI and two runs scored while Shaquille Rolle delivered two RBI and two hits as the Crusaders pulled a late 8-7 win over Brevard College at Fluor Field in Greenville.

The win over Brevard Wednesday night was North Greenville's first win at the home of the Greenville Drive, going 0-3 in three previous appearances at the minor league complex. John Leopard earned the win for the Crusaders while Adam Boghosian checked off his sixth save of the season.

North Greenville trailed late in the game after a three run fifth inning gave the Tornados a 7-5 lead. North Greenville pulled back even with Brevard in the sixth inning as RBI singles from Rolle and Wheeler Smith would scratch across two runs as Roberts and Tony Davila scored.

North Greenville would score the go ahead run in the seventh, this time on a Jae Roberts RBI double that scored Allen Staton. Tyler Mitchell would throw an inning of scoreless relief in the eighth while Bogoshian would close the door in the ninth with three quick outs, earning North Greenville its 17th win of the season.

The Crusaders accounted for 16 hits Wednesday night, led by Allen Staton who was 4-5 with an RBI. Foley George was 2-5 with a run and an RBI while Chuck Lawing finished the night 3-4 with a run and an RBI.
