WASHINGTON NATIONALS DRAFT ADAM BOGHOSIAN IN 22ND ROUND OF MLB DRAFT

Washington, D.C.—NGU closer Adam Boghosian became the first North Greenville player ever Major League Baseball draft pick on Wednesday afternoon as the Washington Nationals selected the senior transfer with the 674th overall pick.

Boghosian, or Bogo, as he was known throughout the clubhouse, burst onto the scene in Tigerville with a plus fastball from the right side. The closer finished the season second in Division II baseball with 13 total saves.

He wrapped up 2015 with a 1.53 earned run average, holding opponents to a .158 average at the dish. He allowed just 11 runs all season, only five of which were earned. The hurler struck out 39 batters on the season and allowed 16 hits in 29.1 innings pitched.
