Mount Olive, N.C.—The North Greenville baseball team suffered just its second sweep of the season Saturday this time at the hands of the Trojans of Mount Olive College losing game 1 5-4 and game 2 11-5.

The Crusaders held a 4-3 lead in the 7th inning but a 1 out bases loaded single from Geno Escalante scored the game tying and go ahead run giving the Trojans the come from behind victory. The base hit from Escalante extended his hitting streak to 36 games.

The Crusaders biggest lead of the game came in the fifth inning scoring 3 unearned runs to take a 4-0 advantage. Mount Olive pulled to within 1 in the 6th with a two out single that scored 2.

In game 2, the Crusaders trailed 8-1, but an RBI single from Anthony Foulk, and a 2 run homer from Allen Staton cut the Trojan lead in half. The Trojans added security runs in the bottom of the 7th to extend their advantage to 11-4. The second game was late called because of rain.

The Crusaders fell to 26-23 on the season and 14-13 in conference play. The nationally ranked Trojans improved to 38-7 overall and 23-3 in conference. North Greenville will have a few days to regroup before heading back up to North Carolina for the Conference Carolinas tournament scheduled to start on April 26th
