FULK'S 3 RBI'S IGNITE OFFENSE AS CRUSADERS CRUISE TO BIG WIN
Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville offense pounded out 24 hits and hit a collective .470 as the Crusaders cruised to a 25-8 win over the Yellow Jackets of West Virginia State on Tuesday afternoon at Ashmore Field.
Allen Staton was credited for the win after dealing for 5.1 innings. Staton gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. The crusaders lept out to a quick 3 run lead in the first, and added big innings in the 4th with 12 runs, and 5th and 6th with 3 runs each.
8 of North Greenville’s 9 starters reached base safely including David Frazier who was 4-6 from the plate with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI’s. Dylan Fulk was also solid at the dish going 3-5 with 3 RBI’s and 2 runs scored. Collectively 6 of NGU’s players registered multiple hits including Adam Taylor who was 2-4 with a two run homer.
The Crusaders improved to 18-10 on the season while West Virginia State falls to 6-12. The Crusaders and Yellow Jackets will mix it up one more time on Wednesday afternoon with a first pitch scheduled for 3pm.
