OFFENSE STRUGGLES AS CRUSADERS FALL TO #23 TUSCULUM
Tigerville, S.C. – The North Greenville baseball team fell to 7-3 on the season after falling to #23 Tusculum College 5-1 in midweek baseball action.

Tusculum’s Zeke McGranahan, kept the Crusaders off balance all day, holding NGU hitless until the 8th inning. Until that point, the Crusaders only base runners reached on fielding errors.

Tusculum picked up two early runs in the first inning on 1 hit. The Pioneers added 3 more runs in the 6th inning.
NGU’s only hits of the day came from Markus Duckworth and David Frazier. Both of which were 1-4 at the dish. The Crusaders pushed a run across in the 8th on Duckworth’s single to second base. The Crusaders left two runners on base.

The Crusaders will open their first home series this weekend against St. Andrews. Friday’s first pitch is scheduled for 2pm. The Crusaders and Knights will play a double header Saturday, starting at 12pm.
