Cleveland, Ga.—The North Greenville Baseball team (34-9) dropped its ninth game of the season today losing to the Truett McConnell Bears 11-10 in nine innings.

The Crusaders jumped ahead of the bears quickly scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. North Greenville extended the early lead to five runs with one more in the second inning. The Bears broke their silence in the bottom of the second however cutting into the NGU lead with three runs.

The Crusaders took the lead 6-5 in the fourth inning but Truett McConnell struck next scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the lead 11-6. The Crusaders pulled to within three runs of the Bears in the eighth inning. NGU scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning pulling to within one run and threatened to tie the game before Truett picked up the third out on a questionable call from the umpire.
North Greenville will take Thursday off before heading to Chattanooga to take on Tennessee Temple in a three game set starting on Friday afternoon.
