CRUSADERS REACH 30 WIN PLATEAU WITH 8-7 WIN OVER LIMESTONE

Gaffney, S.C.—Second baseman Brian Giles was 3-4 with a run scored and a game winning RBI in the top of the Eleventh inning as the Crusaders (30-7) beat the Limestone saints 8-7 in extra innings.

The Crusaders were down by one run heading into the eighth inning. With two outs and a runner on second, David Frazier came up with a key run scoring double that platted Anthony Foulk from second base.  The two clubs headed into the ninth inning deadlocked at 7 runs. 
Limestone threatened two out rally in the bottom of the tenth inning after a two out double but the Crusaders stomped out the possible rally forcing the next batter to ground out to end the inning. North Greenville struck offensively in the top of the eleventh.
After Dylan Fulk single set up the game winning score for the Crusaders and was pinch run for by Daniel York who would later score what would be the game winning run on the Brian Giles single.
Giles also got credit for the win on the mound after being brought in to pitch in the eighth inning. David Frazier also had a solid game offensively going 2-5 from the plate with four RBI’s.
The Crusaders will take Thursday off before opening up a key three game series with Mars Hill Friday afternoon in Tigerville. The two squads will finish the series
