Game Two Box
Tigerville, S.C.—The North Grenville baseball team dropped game one of a double header today to St. Andrews Presbyterian 5-3 but bounced back in the rubber game beating the Knights 15-3 and taking the three game series two games to one.

In game one the Crusaders were held to one hit in six and a half innings. NGU was down 5-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh looking to spark a rally. The Crusaders mustered two runs in the bottom of the seventh but were unable to take advantage of a two out bases loaded situation.
Mike Benjamin started the game on the Mound for North Greenville pitching five innings giving up four runs on five hits. Nate Richards came on in relief for NGU giving up one runs on two hits.
The Crusaders got the offensive wheels spinning in game two. After a two run first inning from St. Andrews, NGU answered back with two runs in the bottom of the inning. The score remained at two until the fourth inning.
After an error by the center fielder, the Crusaders exploded scoring 10 runs on five hits. The Knights aided North Greenville with two errors in the inning. NGU scored three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the game out of reach.
Dayton Lupton led the team offensively going 3-5 with three RBI’s and a run scored. Also leading the charge offensively for NGU was David Frazier who was 3-4 with a run scored and two RBI’s, and Markus Duckworth who was 2-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Anthony Foulk accounted for three RBI’s and two runs and Randy Stegall led the team with four runs scored.  
For the game, NGU scored 15 runs on 16 hits. The Crusaders will take the field again on March 30th with a game against Truett McConnell. The Crusaders will follow it up with a double-header against Southern Wesleyan on the 31st.
