Flying Fleet Rise Past Crusaders

Tigerville, S.C.- The Crusader baseball team renewed their season series with the Erskine Flying Fleet today however the outcome was not what the Crusaders planned for.

Offensively the Crusaders were lead by Rand Stegall who went 4 for 5 with a double and scoring 2 runs and by Derek Fulmer who went 4 for 5 as well with a double and a 2 run homerun. Fulmer and Stegall accounted for all four of the Crusaders runs. The score would remain 7 to 4 until the top of the 7th inning when Erskine let loose a barrage base hits opening up the flood gates. The Flying Fleet would go on to win the affair 20 to 4. Right handed pitcher Mark Benjamin Started the day for the Crusaders going 6 innings and giving up 8 runs off of 9 hits. Right hander Drew Provence was called on in the 8th inning with bases loaded and no outs and struck out the side allowing no runs.

The March 14the game against Erskine has been postponed until April 2nd due to incoming inclement weather.
