Crusader baseball signs three

TIGERVILLE, SC- The North Greenville baseball team had three recruits sign during the early signing period last week. The Crusaders landed Jeff Ament (Walterboro, SC), Patrick HAll (Irmo, SC), and Rand Stegall (Pauline, SC).

Ament attends Colleton Prep High School where he is a well-rounded catcher with a great arm. Ament can hit for both average and power. As a junior, Ament was named South Carolina 2A Player of the Year.

Hall hails from Dutch Fork High School. He is a hard throwing right handed pitcher. Hall had a very productive summer leading the Dutch Fork pitching staff. Also joining the Crusaders will be Stegall, who attends Dorman High School. Stegall is a speedy outfielder with a strong arm. He also played for the Spartanburg Legion team and had an excellent summer season.

All three players are expected to be able to compete for playing time during their freshman year. "I'm very excited about these players coming in next year and the impact they are going to make on our program for the next 4 years," says recruiting coordinator and assistant coach Mike Trott.
