Tusculum takes two from Crusaders

TIGERVILLE,SC- The 29th ranked Tusculum baseball team took two games from North Greenville University Thursday afternoon at Ashmore Field. The Pioneers won game one 11-6, and took game two by a score of 12-1.


North Greenville scored four runs in the first inning. Matt Britt scored on a Carlos Cardenas single. Mike Reis then scored on a ground out to second base two batters later. Kyle Baron brought in the net two runs on a double to center field. Tusculum plated nine runs in the second inning, and added two runs in the fifth. Cardenas homered in the third for the Crusaders. Jonathan Emery scored in the seventh.

Bobby Darling picked up the win for the Pioneers, while Devin Vance took the loss for North Greenville.


Britt drove Emery across the plate with a single to left field in the fifth inning for North Greenville's only run of the ballgame.

Kevin Hammons picked up the win for th Pioneers. Dylan Davidson took the loss for the Crusaders.
