Tyler Jackson is in his fifth year as the hitting coach for North Greenville University baseball team. Under Jackson, the Crusaders have improved vastly at the plate. In 2014, the year prior to Jackson's arrival, the Crusaders finished the season with a .236 team AVG. Since then, NGU has averaged a .306 AVG in the last four seasons.
Multiple position players under Jackson have gone on to play professionally, including Allen Staton, Nathaniel Maggio, Clark Scolamiero, John Jones, and Connor Grant.
Jackson comes from the College of Charleston where he spent two years playing and the last year as an undergraduate assistant for the Cougars. In the three years Jackson was apart of two teams that advanced to the NCAA Regionals and one team that advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals.
Before his time in Charleston, Jackson attended Spartanburg Methodist College. In his two years at SMC, he was first team all-region for both seasons with the Pioneers.
He graduated from the College of Charleston in May with a degree in Public Health.
