Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville University athletic complex is in the process of expanding as the dirt has moved and graded in preparation for the new track and field and softball facilities.
The two newest additions will near completion toward the end of October. The NGU softball program will move across 414 from its current home in the middle of campus while the new track and field facility is the first of its kind at North Greenville.
"Its going to be nice to have a home facility on campus which we can practice on and hopefully host a few events at in the future," remarked head track and field coach Jake Simms. "We are really looking forward to it. It is an exciting time to be at North Greenville University."
The infield of the new track facility will be natural grass while the new softball field is set to be the third artificial turf facility on campus behind the football and soccer/lacrosse fields
