Conference Carolinas Inaugural Indoor Track & Field Championships Set for Saturday

High Point, N.C.> Conference Carolinas will christen men’s and women’s indoor track and field  championships as teams head to Winston Salem, NC this weekend to fight for the first ever conference team championship titles.  JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem, NC will host the eight men’s and eight women’s teams this Saturday that include Barton, Belmont Abbey, King, Lees-McRae, Limestone, Mount Olive, North Greenville, and Queens.

Fast Track is a state-of-the-art indoor track facility that opened in early 2012.  While JDL is excited to host Conference Carolinas first indoor championship, they also bring a wealth of experience in hosting many of the regional meets throughout the indoor season from Wake Forest University and Winston Salem State Intercollegiate meets to hosting the NC High School State Championships. JDL was also recently named the host for the 2014 DII NCAA National Championships.

“We are excited to be able to kick-off our first ever conference indoor track and field championship at such a highly-touted facility,” mentioned Conference Carolinas Associate Commissioner Brook Patterson.  “Once again our student-athletes will be able to compete at their highest level to enjoy a quality championship experience.”
