Men's Basketball Serves City of Greer

The North Greenville University men’s basketball team continued its proud tradition of community service by serving lunch at the Big Thursday event in Greer.

The first Thursday in November is a special day for Greer Community Ministries.  This day is the largest fundraiser of the year for GCM and it is held at Fairview Baptist Church.  Greer Community Ministries provides about 1,800 meals each week, between its Meals on Wheels and Senior Dining program.  Greer Community Ministries, which was founded in 1972, has four major programs, Meals on Wheels, Food Pantry, Sharon’s Closet and Senior Dining.

The basketball program has served lunch at this event  the past 10 years.
